"The Tiles was a very popular night club and discothèque in the West End of London in the mid 1960's. I used to frequent the club at the weekends and was always impressed by the violence and fighting that took place on the street outside of the club. The claret coloured sprays of blood that billowed from the wounds used to make nice patterns on the pavement where they mixed with all of the fluorescent drunken cheer that the members had brought up earlier in the evening"
