Beyond Still Life
Still life on a table with a pink tablecloth. A basket of fruit with two cut glasses and a half eaten bottle of wine. Surreal Still Life

I find it difficult to paint a still life with fruit and a bottle of red wine. All that fruit made me feel hungry, but I could not taste the fruit because it would upset the balance of the composition. Nor could I sample the wine for the bottle would have appeared to be half empty. In a fantasy of  paranoid frustration I ate the bottle instead.
