The fascination with the colours and the play of early morning sunlight upon the geological rock formations of the Grand Canyon presented an opportunity for a colourful composition which is further enhanced by the addition of a fantasy of architecture with Dawn descending the stone stairway to the canyon below, and providing the possibility for colour contradictions and contrasts
