Oil painting of Old Harry Rocks which is the name given to the geological rock formation that was once attached to the Purbeck peninsular. The rocks stand as a silent sentinel to welcome the seafarer into the white laced bay of the entrance to Poole Harbour. Old Harry used to have a wife but she crumbled into the sea long ago.  ...such is life.

The Bournemouth coastline is just visible on the horizon.

Old harry Rocks are the geological needles at the end of the headland on Studland Point and make a good subject for a painting in low sunlight
